Little Blue Dress

Goodness me, it's been forever and a day since I've posted outfit photos.  (I like to blame work for slacking on such things, since I'm so tired once I'm finally home.)  I think I've finally found a suitable place in my room to snap outfit photos on days when it's rainy, or I simply don't feel like fighting the blustery Oklahoma wind.  (I do believe I will however need to purchase a better camera for photos inside my tiny cave...all of that grain is killing me...)

I'm completely in love with this dress, though.  It's the perfect shade of navy, and it has pockets.  I think that dresses with pockets are, perhaps, my favorite thing in the entire world.  Can we also talk about that neckline?  I love it.  I had never paid much attention to necklines before this dress, and now I'm over the moon for them.  This is actually the only piece of clothing I own with a neckline as such...I'm pining for more.
The only downfall to this marvelous dress is it's material.  While it is ever-so comfy, everything under the sun sticks to it...most obviously all of the kitten fluff my sweetheart leaves behind.  I have to lint-roll this dress 500 times throughout the day, but I say it's worth it.

Our Trip To Lawrence // What I Wore

Details:
Sweater // Thrifted
Undershirt // Target
Jeans // Thrifted
Shoes // Payless
Purse // Old Navy

I found this sweater a few weeks ago in a cute little thrift store (you may remember me initially sharing it here), and I had been aching to wear it.  It's a little shorter than I normally like my shirts/sweaters to be, but the print is just too perfect.  I mustn't forget that it's also made from Merino wool, and is incredibly soft and cozy.
I decided the night before we left that it would be the perfect top to wear to Lawrence, and with as chilly as the wind was, I was glad I did.

I must talk about my shoes.  My little mock-moccasins from Payless.  They've quickly become my favorite pair of shoes.  So much so that I ordered a pair in black just before they sold out and disappeared from my life forever.
I feel like moccasins look cute with literally everything.  When I'm getting dressed for work in the early morning, on the rare occasion that I wear slacks (as I hate the way slacks feel and look on me), I always consider pairing these moccasins with them, even though I know they aren't exactly "professional".  (What is professional, anyway?)  However, that's neither here nor there.  Simply put, I love these shoes.

Have a lovely day, friends.

A Snow Day

Details:
Top // Target
Wrap Sweater // Old Navy
Jeans // Delia's
Hat // SusannahBean
Shoes // Old Navy

I'm quite excited to share this post with you, as I never thought I'd see the day here on this little blog.  After much deliberation, new found excitement over new clothes, and inspiration from my dear friend Megan, I've decided to start sharing outfit photos.
I've always been a little on the fence about them, never quite sure if sharing outfit photos was really 'me'.  But, I do love clothes, and I do think it will be grand to be able to someday look back on these posts and giggle at the clothes I wore. :]

We finally had a snow day here in Oklahoma.  Finally.  I was beginning to think Mr. Winter had completely forgotten to pop in and say hello to us here.  But, around 10 or so last night, the snow began to fall.  This morning I couldn't get my car out of its parking place and down the drive, so I stayed at home and gleefully crocheted and put together Valentine's Day sacks for my friends at work.  And snuck outside for a bit to play in the snow and capture these photos! :]
Much to my dismay, the snow has begun to melt, and it's back to work for me tomorrow.
Have a lovely night.

P.S.  Happy Valentine's Day, lovelies! <333
