Returning Home

Pretty fabrics...
Well, hello!  It feels like I've been gone forever.  I spent almost a week at my parents' house in Oklahoma, stranded partly by storms.  It's always nice to go home, though.  I grew up in the middle of nowhere, and oftentimes, an escape from the city to the wide open prairies is just what I need.
I also spent some time putting the finishing touches on our little room.  It's been a challenge...fitting an entire apartment worth of stuff into one large room.  But, I actually love it more.  To me, it feels more like a home than our apartment ever did.  Once everything is done, I'll share photos, I promise! (My new blog header is one little sneak peek!)
And in the midst of everything, I'm lost in thought on my Etsy shoppe...creating, branding, color schemes, patterns...  I'm beyond excited to open it.  I'm still stumped on the legal side of it, though.  Registering for tax ids, figuring out what kind of business you are, craft fairs...it confuses me to no end.  (If anyone lives in Texas and could give me some pointers, it would be greatly appreciated!)

I hope you all are having a fresh start to the week!
Love, Allie.

Hi Allie! I just thought I would let you know but your pictures always look like a thin line when I come to your blog. I have to click on the line to see the photo. Does this happen for anyone else?
Love your blog header!

Eee, I am excited for your etsy shop too! It is a little confusing at first but you will get into the swing of things not long after you open, promise :)

Amylou: Eep! Is it just a line, or the little box with the question mark in it where the image should go?? Thanks for letting me know, I had no idea my images were messing up. Hopefully I can get it fixed...

The Cookie Button: Thank you! I surely hope so! It's frustrating trying to figure everything out without messing up too badly!

Just a line! I know that this happened to another blogger I know. This is her blog.

Maybe she wouldn't mind answering a few questions. I think it had something to do with the combination of flickr and internet explorer.
